Founder & Publisher

Sandy Ghattas created the company because she wanted to publish creative meaningful stories that she would drop everything and read. Sandy’s focus is to make available creative spiritual stories for people of all ages and religions.

Sandy received her degree in Multimedia and Webdesign from The Art Institute of Philadelphia. She has over 12 years of marketing and advertising experience, which has led to her owning Lucky Tree Creative, a creative design firm. Lucky Tree specializes in consulting, branding, marketing, web development, social media services, and copywriting for large and small companies alike. Additionally, Sandy is the President and Founder of Friends of Danny, a 501 ( c ) 3 nonprofit organization established to provide financial assistance to families with loved ones living with a developmental disability. Their mission is to work with those who have exhausted all resources and are now struggling to maintain the daily routine of their child or loved one.

Sandy is proud of the recent release of Parables & Books’ first title In The Tree House and is looking forward to releasing new titles with diverse authors.

Assistant Publisher

Nadine Cauthen is honored to become a part of Parables & Books. She is looking forward to assisting the team in bringing the dreams of writers to fruition, especially those impacting and shaping the spiritual lives of children.

Nadine received her BA in Political Science with a minor in Asian Studies from William Paterson University. She brings with her 20 years of administrative and research experience. In 2004, she conducted research for a paper that was delivered at both William Paterson University and a women’s symposium in Maryland. Her research included collecting data from various government organizations both here and abroad. Prior to studying in China in 2005, she interned as a research assistant at the Carpenters Union in New York.

Nadine’s background and educational experience shapes her ability to interact with people of different cultures and levels of life.

Matthew John Hadodo is excited to be a part of Parables & Books. He appreciates their mission and recognizes the need for such spiritual literature in the modern day.

Graduating from Rutgers University with degrees in Linguistics and Spanish Linguistics, Matthew completed extensive research on topics dealing with sociolinguistics in various languages. Matthew also served as Public Relations Coordinator for Olapic, an online company dedicated to photo crowdsourcing, where he was also responsible for revising and editing company blogs as well as internal and external documents.

Matthew looks forward to being a part of the ongoing growth and development of Parables & Books. He hopes his contributions will help inspire those in need.

Editor

Tom McMillian has over twenty years of writing, creativity, and business experience. Tom received his AB Biochemistry degree from Harvard University and MBA in Marketing, Finance, & Healthcare from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Tom has a passion for storytelling in all forms. While at Pfizer, he was responsible for editing and distributing four newsletters per month to three million people. Currently, he is the President and Founder of Techtao, a strategy-driven marketing consultancy that specializes in providing world-class innovation solutions as well as communication and marketing services.

Tom is a writer for NJ Entrepreneur and has been recognized as New Jersey’s leading marketing expert. He is a dynamic speaker and recently spoke about World Creativity and Innovation Week at July’s World Future Society. In 2011, linking into the World Creativity and Innovation Week movement, Tom is facilitating a creativity gathering in New Jersey.

Sara Candan recently has joined Parables & Books and is developing the educational subdivision of P&B.

Sara received her Masters in Communication from Rutgers University prior to obtaining her teacher’s certification. Having extensive experience covering grade levels from early elementary to university settings, Sara has an innate ability to relate to students and help them understand material in a fun, effortless way.
